AFTER CARE INFORMATION

Tattoo Aftercare Instructions:​
TOUCH UPS, If needed must be done within 3 months of getting the tattoo.

1) Leave the moisture barrier on for a few hours or overnight if you had the tattoo done late in the day, remove it then gently wash the tattoo with warm water and an unscented antibacterial soap, let air dry or lightly pat dry with a clean towel. DO NOT cover the tattoo again. 

2) With clean hands apply a THIN film of fragrance free lotion, like Curel or Lubriderm.  Keep the area moisturized a couple times daily but DO NOT over moisturize.

3) Wear loose clothing that won't rub on your tattoo or keep it smothered.  

4) Stay out of the direct sunlight and tanning beds until tattoo is healed, at least 2 to 3 weeks.

5) Your tattoo is an open wound until healed, DO NOT soak the tattoo in tubs, saunas, jacuzzis, or go swimming until your new tattoo is healed, at least 2 weeks. Showering is fine! 

6) DO NOT rub or pick at the treated area while it is healing.  Loss of color and/or infection can occur.  

7) Sun and exposure over the years WILL fade your tattoo.  This can be minimized by using a sun screen, at least SPF25.  

8) Your tattoo should heal in about 2-3 weeks. It is normal for your tattoo to peel like a sunburn during the healing process. Consult a physician if any signs or symptoms develop such as, but not limited to: Redness at sight of tattoo, green or yellowish discharge, foul smelling odor, and/or fever.

How old do you have to be to be tattooed, can my parents sign off?
Absolutely not, in the state of Alaska you MUST be 18. No exceptions.

Can I get a tattoo while pregnant?
Absolutely not.

What are your rates?
Our rates are:
  • Our shop minimum is $80 USD.
  • We charge $140 USD an hour, however if it's something that can be done within one sitting we try to give you the best estimate we can when you schedule rather than an hourly rate. Estimates are subject to change if designs are made larger, smaller, or any alterations that can change the time frame of the tattoo are done. We always try to communicate with you the potential change of price before hand.
  • We are CASH ONLY and there is an ATM on site for your convenience. 

How do I schedule?

We prefer you to come into the shop and discuss your ideas with us instead of calling, it's hard to sometimes envision what you're looking to do without getting to know you a little bit, while we will try our best to answer any questions regarding price and how long to expect it to take we can't guarentee the most accurate estimate over the phone or Facebook. Also if you have refereneces, you can bring them along or send them to us after you've made your appointment.

We have portfolios available on this site as well as Facebook and in the shop. 
  • We do not scehdule appointments without a deposit (see below).
  • We normally don't schedule consultation appointments unless we're starting a multiple session project.  An artist is usually available to talk to you at all times.

Do you take a deposit and what is your policy?

We do not schedule appointments without a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $80 USD for tattoos and a deposit of $100 USD for permanent cosmetics. We have a 48-hour cancellation/rescheduling policy for your appointment, however the deposit is non-refundable. It's to secure your time in our schedule and it pays for the time the artist takes for preparing for your appointment.
  • If you cancel your appointment within 48-hours notice you have six months to use your deposit to reschedule a new  appointment.
  • Deposits can not be transfered unless comminucated with us prior. 
  • If you're getting a multiple session tattoo the deposit will be applied to your LAST session.

What are your hours?
Our shop hours are:
  • Monday through Friday, 11am - 7pm.
  • Saturdays are closed unless walk-in or appointment times are announced via Facebook.
  • Closed Sundays
We are closed most major holidays.

Do you take walk-ins or are you by appointment only?

Walk-ins are always welcome and are first come first serve. However some days are busier than others, we recommend calling the shop if you'd like to see if we have time available. If you have a specific artist in mind your best bet is to come and schedule an appointment that way you have a guaranteed spot. 

Can I see my drawing before my appointment or before I schedule? 
We usually don't have drawings ready until your appointment time. Depending on the design/project we usually draw your design within 48 hours of your appointment. This is why we strongly recommend checking out portfolios and knowing your artist's work before you make an appointment. Being clear about your ideas and having references is crucial to your tattoo, so the more information you can tell us to help with your drawing the better. 

Unfortunately, We also do not draw any designs without an appointment scheduled unless you're paying separately for the artist's time in the event that you don't like what he/she creates.

Can I bring my child/toddler with me?
Unless accompanied by an adult and they're being well-behaved AT ALL TIMES we would prefer you left your little one's at home. There are a lot of things little ones can get into and having a distraction to our artists and other clients isn't preferable. 

Can I bring my friends and family with me to my appointment?
We understand getting a tattoo is an exciting thing! We also understand that needing moral support is important to some people. You're more than welcome to bring a friend or family member but we don't advise bringing a group of people along. We don't have enough room in our stations and sometimes having someone to distract you from the pain is a good thing, but having people distract us from doing our job isn't. We ask that you be respectful to your artist, the other artists and clients and don't be loud or disruptive.
